First Symptoms Menopause

Menopause is a natural stage or a phase of life that all women have to go through where they slowly lose their fertility. Generally, women starts experiencing these symptoms during the late thirties and gradual transition take place until the late forties. Menopause can be confirmed in a woman if she does not undergo the periodical menstrual cycle for a year.

Symptoms such as lack of energy, higher stress, and lack of hunger could be some of the earlier symptoms of menopause but the major symptoms that should be taken seriously is irregular menstrual cycles which are accompanied with a fluctuation in the menstrual flow.

Menstrual cycles could offer either frequently a couple of times within a fortnight sometimes it would not occur for a whole month. Over the period of time, the gap between the periods would increase. These are first symptoms that women might face during a pre-menopause stage. Menstrual flow could also be irregular. It could either very high or could be very low and that could continue for a whole week too. In short, it would completely disrupt the menstrual cycle.

First typical symptoms of menopause

There are a lot of other symptoms alike PMS such as frequent mood swings, tender breasts, memory loss, and anxiety and it could also lead women into depression. Most women also face from a sudden weight gain that is due to the retention of water into the body during menopause stage.

Menopause is generally due to changes in various hormone levels in your body. These are the major causes of the symptoms that women face during a menopause. Lower energy levels and lower drive for sex is one of the worst effects of these hormonal changes. A woman might also lose interest in everything.

Physical symptoms like hot flashes are due to these hormonal changes too. Although hot flashes is a symptom of menopause, as high as 40 percent of women who have regular periods also suffer from the same hence it is difficult to know if the hot flashes are due to menopause. Continuations of hot flashes are also found to be irregular. Some women face it for more than 10 years while some might just suffer from them for a period of five years. There is no limit that is considered as standard.

All the above symptoms are used to identify if a woman is suffering from menopause or not.
